Microsoft Windows 8 Store Passes 20,000 App Mark

Windows 8′s marketplace is growing and fast, with over 7000 apps being added within the past 17 days. This number is of course set to grow even further in to the new year, yet for now, there are over 20,000 apps to download. Windows 8 might very well be in our humble the best version of Windows to ever grace the earth, however that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a few hurdles to overcome. Namely, its app ecosystem is weak currently and in desperate need of high quality applications being submitted to it so that consumers can actually make real … Continue reading

This is Microsoft’s New Logo, the Start of a More Colourful MS?

Microsoft has taken off the wrapping paper and revealed its brand new logo, the first change to its corporate brand since 1987, in order to create a more modern MS in line with the latest tech such as Ultrabooks and Windows Phone. What you see above is Microsoft’s brand spanking new logo, complete with a dash of colour marking the first time since 1987 Microsoft has made any real significant changes to its brand. If these reports are confirmed (MS is yet to comment), it will … Continue reading

Now we have to agree with this not only from a productivity perspective, but from a gaming perspective too. If you own a modern laptop then or an Ultra-thin and are looking for the perfect mouse, you will have come across many which are branded as being portable and extremely good to … Continue reading

Windows 8 May Ditch Traditional Windows Desktop Boot Screen

Like sticking to what you feel comfortable with, whilst at the same time having the option to use new features within software / operating systems as you see fit? Well according to recent reports worldwide originally started by ZDnet, Windows 8 will ditch traditional boot ups where you will be greeted with your desktop, icons and taskbar, instead opting to hard wire ‘Windows Style UI’ (note, formerly Metro UI) in to boot ups. This recent news, as you may have guessed, has not been best received across the technology industry. The major problem with this latest development in the world of … Continue reading
